    Everything here at Notos started in 1997.
    Our idea was to build a boutique hotel that would be intimate, natural, unique.
    The best location was chosen, giving priority to a setting which would be harmonious and peaceful.
    We brought in experienced stone craftsmen who began building the foundations using the same light-coloured stone that came out of the original excavation, to preserve the completely natural look and feel of Notos.
    Construction was a gradual process. We personally supervised interventions in the design, taking care that the landscape would not be spoilt, and adding special details to create a harmonic structure that would give the sense to those who are here that they are in their own space and not in an imposing, typical hotel.
    Eventually, Notos became a tiny hamlet outside the village of Kardamili - an intimate complex of small, softly-modern individual houses, with pleasantly spacious sun-filled rooms, beautiful spots for relaxation, and charming orchards, flowers and silver-emerald olive groves - all set against the spectacular panorama of the south Mediterranean sea.
    We feel very happy, because we believe we've accomplished our dream and, more importantly, our guests endorse us. We endeavour to make Notos a special place, not only for our visitors, but also for ourselves and our son, as our house is actually in the hotel. Our daily focus is to make staying here a pleasant experience for all, and we take care at each and every step to avoid becoming a stereotypical, characterless hotel.
    We plan in the near future to have a special area for breakfast, dining and wine-savouring, where we will use only the finest, freshest organic food, produced in our very own gardens.
    Living here and enjoying this wonderful place gives us great peace and pleasure, and makes us feel very grateful, hopeful and enthusiastic. We hope you'll enjoy your stay, as much as we do, every single day.
